No, maybe shrimp, but not steak.
Great crab and cheese sandwiches
Don't waste your time or money!!! This used to be one of those hidden treasures. We drove 2 hours on our only day off to get the limpest salad... couldn't bring myself to even try it. Followed by fish that was microwaved and a baked potato that was cut open & very dry and chewy. We had several flies landing on our food, so we had to shoo flies the whole time.I got a doggie bag to take it to the first trash can we could find. We didn't wait for our check to be brought to our table, instead we fled to the gift shop, leaving the flies behind. We don't eat fast food, but wish we had opted for that instead... probably would have had better service too. That was our conversation for the 2 hour drive back home, as we passed better choices. My hubby ate his & now he feels ill.
The food was excellent! Order the “Skipper Basket”! The service was very friendly. Hidden gem without a doubt.
The fresh fish at this place is delicious! Plus nice view of the whale going by!
No other location like it
Very good food, reasonable priced. Friendly and great service. All the food was great. We will be back!
Service awesome, food great. Fun place. Go out of u r way to stop by....
Right on the docks Watching boats come in foods amazing
The fish was clearly local which we like but it was very dry. We thought maybe it had been cooked and put under a heat lamp for a while before serving. Fries are great and tossed in some sort of seasoning which was delicious.
They have a great appetizer combo platter!
I ordered a crab dinner. I got a cold, small crab without much meat. The "butter" was cold too. I wonder what it really was. The service was so bad that even my kids wanted to leave.
Great little seafood restaurant right on Port Orford Docks. I had half a dozen oysters to start, they were huge followed by Cioppino, a fish stew and a cold beer. All absolutely great and good value too.
Delisious fish and chips very fast service
One of the most unique dinning experiences I've had, not to mention the extraordinary meal. Something like what I would expect at, say, one of Portland or Seattle's top restaurant's...
This is a quaint little place, right down on the dock. I had the prawns and scallops. The food was great quality. The service was friendly. When I say "quaint little place," I mean it: there were literally only 5 or 6 tables in the dining area. It was a perfect place to relax in a comfortable atmosphere with great views. The photo of the ocean: that's what you see out the window - that photo was taken directly in front of my car, in Griff's parking area.
Quaint, small restraunt on the docks. They have a really small dinning area with not many seats, but it was pretty empty when we went. Definitely not a good place if you have over 5 people. The food was quick and fresh. I thought it was a bit odd to serve a dinner salad in a small bowl with minimal toppings but the chicken was fresh. The calamari is also much better than normal if you like calamari.
We have been eating our way up and down the coast, and this place is our favorite so far. Food was delicious- the crab and cheese sandwich was amazing. The setting is perfect for watching the sunset. The staff was super friendly. Save room for pie - the strawberry rhubarb is wonderful. A little off the beaten path, Griff’s is worth seeking out!
Great food, hard working staff. The salmon, oysters on the half shell and the clam chowder were at the top dice best in my opinion. Bought some smoked salmon from their well-stocked seafood selection was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Went while on vacation last month. Great service. Fresh seafood and a one of a kind environment with the smell of the ocean in the air. Would certainly come back. One of a kind place.
Driving down to the docks you almost feel like you shouldn't be going that way... but we keptGoing, and Man Am I Glad We Did!! AMAZING Lunch Straight from the boat. I'm So Very Much Going to Recommend You to All I Know going your waaaaayyyyy..... ♡♡ Thank You for a Fantastic Lunch 🍤🎣🚤⚓💕
We very much enjoy this tour, our captain was great, informative, and funny. We would definitely go again when we come back to visit.
We ordered the crab special and it came out ice cold.. I had never had cold crab before. Not for me. But great view!
Quaint little restaurant on the dock with a nautical theme. The food is good and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic "hole in the wall. Great halibut chunks. Try the deep fried Twinkie!!
I usually just crave the Langlois Market hot dogs when I get back home. But since eating at Griff's on the Dock 3 days in a row. I know crave their Prawns with fish. Their fresh sweet Cole slaw and their seasoned French Fry's.So addicting.. Love the new look and the food is outstanding.
Great seafood and price and new ownership. You have to come and try it, you will not be disappointed.
We only went to the fish market part of Griffs. We got blue ling cod. It was absolutely fantastic! It was fresh caught that day. They also have a tiny "museum" there. It had a very unique crab. And a few other huge sea creatures I didn't know what they were. It is worth checking out.
We had the mixed platter and whole crab plate. Some of the best seafood of my life. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing. By far the best breaded oysters I've ever had and the calamari was fantastic. Price was very reasonable as both these plates were under $25 each.
Cute and quaint little restaurant right on the pier. The food and service are both great!
This place is outstanding!! The staff is very happy. The kitchen has the food up in no time. The fresh Halibut and chips was Flakey soft and juicy. it was caught on two days before I had it. The crab was caught the day before and super delicious. We would be coming back if we lived closer. We will have to make a two day trip to enjoy again. Thank you
Great clam chowder.
This was the seafood place we had been looking for. Great food, excellent service.
The Skipper Basket and Shrimp Tacos,,,,Delicious well cooked to its perfection totally recommended great customer service and super friendly staff, KUDOS to the cook....
Love this cozy hide-away on the dock. As locals, my husband and I frequent this restaurant often. The owners are wonderful, their hours are accommodating and the food is yummy!
Love the chowder and fish & chips
This is a great little restaurant that since right in the middle of the port. They have fresh seafood on their menu and also a small seafood case with fresh seafood that is just come in. Seating is very very limited here, but I have never been there when it was full. The view is wonderful looking out into the ocean. You can also see a lot of the working boats that are sitting in the lot. It's close to a very great beach and also some small tide pools. Very close to the restaurant you are able to watch them lower boats in if you happen to be there at the right time.
As others have said, right on the dock. We had fish and chips. Fish was fresh and fried just right. A glass of the house wine is a great deal.
They food is excellent with small portions - like you going leave looking for some where else to eat. However, some of the best seasoned seafood I have ever had. Great hole in the wall right on the dock surrounded by crab boats parked on trailers. They say you can whale watch right from your table.
Amazing! Fresh fish and crab comes pretty often and the food is amazing
Looks like a dump...crazy good fresh seafood!
First time ever been here but definitely not the last time. My Husband and I really enjoyed the very large servings. The fish and chips were delicious. Great seasoned fries, flakey fish.,great cold slaw. Your missing good food if you pass this up.
Wow best stop so far on our trip. Marianberry Pie was worthy of 6stars if it was an option...
Fish fresh off the boat, right on the dock, get to watch the crews working right out the window! Red snapper was wonderful.
First time and really enjoyed our experience. Had the fish tacos (grilled) - very nice. The soft corn shell held up with the perfectly cooked fish and slaw. The fries were really good too. Staff were super friendly and they did a great job of social distancing with the limited space. We'll be back!
Great local seafood. we were here durimg a storm with incredible wind. A cool experience.
Battle Rock is a great place to take a walk on the Beach or just on the paved walkways or sit on a bench and enjoy the View. There is a visitors Center and historic markers. Adjacent to art gallery and upscale Restaurant. Battle Rock is just as you enter town from the south.
Love the spot and quality of ingredients but nothing here is really cooked. Needs a proper kitchen.
A nice place to eat right on the docks. Nice menu. We came for fresh crab however they didn't have any to serve. They had just reopened for the season and were still getting the kinks out. Very excellent friendly service.
Big disappointment. Oysters were HUGE but tasted like nothing. Lettuce in the crab Louie was browned on the edges, making it clear that it was made earlier in the day and had sat there for hours. For $18 maybe they could chop some lettuce to order for it. Wish this had turned out to be the hidden gem it looked like it could be. That said, our waitress was cool and a little sassy - best part of the whole experience. Also, they need to stop selling shark fetuses in jars, encouraging fishermen to “accidentally” catch sharks in fish nets.
Awesome food and service. Love the extra touches: old bay infused seasoned salt on the fries, dollop of melted butter on the chowder. We enjoyed the fresh fried fish basket and bowl of chowder.
